Philip Westcott

Philip Westcott is the 16 year old bass guitar player with the Westcott Brothers band. A Maryland native, Philip has been thrilled with the chance to return to his home state to continue his pursuit of the music he loves. A junior at Northwest High School, Philip plays tenor sax in the school concert and jazz bands. Philip took the fast track into bass playing when he was recruited by his brother Andrew in 2000 to begin playing festivals and clubs. Since adding bass guitar to his skills, Philip has performed as the other half of the Westcott Brother duo at the Baltimore Blues Festival, King Biscuit Blues Festival, at the Mayfest in Tennessee, and at the 2003 Bele Chere Festival as the opening act for Bo Diddley.
