Billy Herrington (Uncle Billy) is a native Marylander who began his music studies at seven years old when he took drum lessons at Charlie Byrd's in nearby Bethesda, Maryland. While continuing his studies on the drum kit, Uncle Billy played in local drum corps, high school rock band, Off Broadway musicals, and eventually playing club gigs soon after graduating from high school. Along the way, Billy also took up and became proficient on the guitar, bass and piano. Over the years, the guitar has been Billy's primary instrument, and he filled the second guitar slot in The Westcott Brothers Band from 2000 until the Spring of 2002 when he shifted over to become the fulltime drummer.
